steve. >> reporter: well, the debate about whether or not to train and arm some teachers to have guns in some schools, had taken place, in the white house, and probably in every schoolhouse in the country. well, new jersey's teachers union came out strongly with a statement, leaving little room for debate, on where it stands on the suggestion, quote get guns out of our schools, and keep them out, was its head line saying new jersey education association union is quote adamantly opposed to arming teachers to either shoot back or just be a deterrent to any within thinking schools without any armed teachers staff or police make easy multi murder targets >> a lot of teachers have military background, police background, go through a psychological evaluation, training on when to use it and weapons are concealed. >> if i was to trust somebody to have in the school it would need to be a cop, former cop,

children careening off of broad street after at least five bullets struck that vehicle one hitting and killing timons who was behind the wheel. timons brother says the family is just devastated over this senseless loss of the 23 year-old sister, police cannot make sense of it either. >> we don't believe there was a target or it was road rage we don't believe occupants had anything to do with anything. >> my little sister was minding her business and she didn't deserve this, that is all. >> reporter: police say about 20 minutes before their van was shot up victim's drove past a shooting scene at 16th and nedro streets and sped away from the area police say they had nothing to do with that shooting but wanted to get out of the line of fire. of course, with a van packed with family members including three young children. so it ultimately could not escape gunfire, police are still looking for shooters. they don't have much
